- Truth Is the Dare
Truth Is the Dare
Because the bravest thing you can do... is stop lying to yourself
Do you remember the game Truth and Dare
The one we all played at some point in life?
The day before yesterday, it floated into my awareness like a forgotten feather. And I paused to wonder…
Why is truth the quieter one in the title?
Why is dare the action?
Isn’t truth the biggest dare of all?
We hide our demons, even from ourselves
Layered in justifications that fit so well, they soon masquerade as truth.
But have you noticed that gentle voice within… the whisper that unsettles you for a moment, only to be hushed again by habit and comfort?
That whisper keeps returning.
Until one day, you listen.
To listen, to truly own your truth, is the most courageous dare.
It’s uncomfortable.
It rattles the roots of conditioning, family systems, and societal masks.
But this discomfort?
It’s sacred
It’s the cracking open of false skin so the real one can breathe
Today, as I write this, I stand on the edge of such a dare.
The nudge is clear,
The whisper is strong,
And I choose not to mute it anymore.
I share this with you, not to preach, but to walk beside you.
Because your truth doesn’t have to be black or white, right or wrong.
It is simply yours
Even if it’s invisible or illogical to others

🌀 Somatic Anchor:
Place one hand on your heart and one on your belly.
Take 7 slow, conscious breaths.
With each breath, whisper inwardly:
“I am safe to hear my truth.”
Let your body feel the safety you are offering it.
✨ Reflection Prompt:
When was the last time you silenced your inner voice?
What would happen if you dared to speak what you truly feel, even just to yourself?
Breathe. Reflect. Dare. Truth.
