The Body remembers what the mind forgot
The real practice was listening to what your body has been holding.....
Hi Souldful ones,
Before you read any further… pause and ask yourself:
What does movement mean to me?
When I step on the mat, am I trying to fix something… or feel something?
Do I see my body as a machine to mold… or a temple to honor?
Have I ever truly listened to what my body is holding… beyond pain or tension?
Let these questions ripple through you before moving ahead…
Yoga is not something to be done in a perfect ambiance or soft music
It wasn’t born in curated calm
It was born in silence
In the wildness of forests
In still mornings and sacred caves
Yoga was practiced as a ritual, an intimate bridge between the outer and inner worlds
It was never designed to be quick
It was never meant to be trendy
This is not a 2-minute noodle fix
I’m sorry, but this is not a shortcut
Yoga is devotion
It’s the long, beautiful journey of reclaiming forgotten parts of yourself
Yes, a flexible body, calmer mind, radiant skin, those may happen too
But these are not the treasures
They are the prasad, the blessings that fall from the altar of practice
Yoga is not something we do
It’s a way we live
A way we return
Movement is Emotional Alchemy
Every asana is a whisper from the soul
A memory the body never forgot
An emotion that’s waited patiently to be moved
Asanas and Their Energy Wisdom
Ustrasana (Camel Pose)
Body Area: Heart, throat, spine
Emotion: Grief, heartbreak, shame, silence
Chakra: Heart (Anahata) & Throat (Vishuddha)
➡️ Invites vulnerability and opens up the emotional body to expression
Ardha Matsyendrasana (Seated Twist)
Body Area: Abdomen, spine
Emotion: Anger, frustration, toxic thought loops
Chakra: Solar Plexus (Manipura)
➡️ Twists help ‘wring out’ internal chaos and stored resistance
Paschimottanasana (Seated Forward Fold)
Body Area: Hamstrings, back, nervous system
Emotion: Overthinking, mental fatigue, sadness
Chakra: Sacral + Solar Plexus
➡️ Teaches surrender, calming the anxious push of the mind
Balasana (Child’s Pose)
Body Area: Spine, hips, third eye
Emotion: Anxiety, inner child wounds
Chakra: Root & Third Eye
➡️ A shape of safety and surrender restores emotional trust and calm
When you step onto your mat next, don’t just aim for form
Aim for feeling
Ask yourself
What am I carrying that I’ve never moved?
Can I let this asana be a ritual, not a performance?
Your body is not asking to look perfect
It’s asking to feel free

If this stirred something inside you
I would love to talk to you
Reach out
In wildness and stillness,
Divya
